Beverage plastic bottle caps are different from others. This directly affects our health and we are more concerned. Generally, we use sterilized water for sterilization. There are unstable elements in sterilized water and they will decompose by themselves. Sterilizing water is to use this decomposition process (oxidation process) to oxidize the microorganisms on the surface of the object, and then achieve the purpose of sterilization. Common substances with strong oxidizing properties are: peracetic acid, ozone water and chlorine water. The instantaneous sterilization properties of ozone are better than chlorine. At present, peracetic acid and ozone water are basically used as sterilized water for plastic bottle cap sterilization, most of which are peracetic acid. The greater the concentration of sterilized water, the shorter the required sterilization time. Regarding the peracetic acid at 65°C and 2000PPM, sterilization in 30 to 60 seconds can make the bottle cap meet the requirements of commercial sterility. Due to the short sterilization time and good sterilization effect of sterilized water, it is widely used in the sterilization of bottles and caps of fruit and vegetable juice beverages. The main methods of using sterilized water to sterilize plastic bottle caps are jetting and immersion.
Spray type is to use multiple sets of nozzles to spray sterile water in multiple directions of the bottle cap to sterilize the surface of the bottle cap. The time the bottle cap bears the spray should ensure that the microorganisms can be completely killed. The specific method is as follows: the bottle caps after the cap are sorted into the bottle cap track in the same direction, and there are multiple sets of nozzles above and below the track. Each set of nozzles can spray sterile water on the bottle cap from different angles. Both sterilize the cap and push the cap along the track. When peracetic acid is used as sterile water, the bottle caps sprayed with sterile water need to withstand the flushing of sterile water to remove the residual peracetic acid on the cap and make the residual amount lower than the relevant specifications; sterile water After flushing, blow dry the cap with sterile air. When using ozone water as sterilized water, since the products after ozone water decomposition are water and oxygen, there are no harmful residues. In theory, there is no need to re-process the bottle cap, but in the actual production process, the bottle cap is sterilized. The exit of the machine is very close to the capping machine, which cannot completely decompose the residual ozone. Therefore, after the bottle cap is sterilized by ozone water, it needs to be washed with sterile water and dried with sterile air. Due to the linearity of spray water, sterile water spray sterilization can be used to sterilize mineral water bottle caps, as well as to sterilize tea beverages and fruit juice beverages during hot filling. Hot-filling uses full-bottle filling. After filling and capping, the bottle is poured and the cap is heated for internal sterilization.
Immersion type is to completely soak the plastic bottle cap in sterilized water, so that all the surface of the bottle cap is sterilized by sterilized water, and the immersion time should meet the time requirement of complete sterilization of the bottle cap. One way is to fix the bottle caps in the same direction on the bottle cap holder, and the bottle cap holder is connected to the chain. The movement of the chain drives the bottle cap holder into the sterilization tank filled with sterilized water and soaks the cap completely in the sterilization tank. The soaking time in the bacteria water should meet the time requirement for complete sterilization. As with the spray sterilization method, the bottle caps soaked in sterilized water also need to be sprayed with sterile water and sterile air to make the caps dry and sterile. When the sterile water sterilization method is adopted, the matching sterilized water, sterile water and sterile air need to be produced and processed. There are more peripheral supporting equipment, and the supporting costs are also high, the cost is large, and the management requirements are high. Therefore, this sterilization process is generally applied to aseptic cold filling of fruit juice beverages. If you want to know more about bottle cap molds, please follow us.
