16 Cavity Short Tail PET Preform Mould

This 16cavity short tail PET preform mould is simpler compared to self lock PET preform mould. For normal slider type with short tail PET preform mould, the max cavity I advise you to make 20cavity. In general, 16cavity is the max. cavity for normal slider-type mold. The only advantage for this PET preform mould is the cheap price but the mold life, and the preform quality is lower. Because it is the PET preform mould with one slider, when one cavity, the thickness of preform is not uniform, it can not be adjusted well. Then if the thickness of the preform is not good, the blown bottle is not good also. You will feel that some parts are thicker and some parts are thinner. And also because it is the short tail type, sometimes the bottom of the preform is whitening to affect the bottle quality. Anyway, if you have big experience in PET preform mould injection running, you can choose it and when running, be careful and maintain it in good condition to extend the mold quality.
The slider helps in reducing the cycle time of the PET preform mould. The sliding plate also has a bearing slide type for opening/closing. This makes it easy to remove the unfinished preformling from the mandrel. A slider also makes the removal of the preform easy and fast. The slider helps the user to easily disassemble the preform mould with the slider.
